Completion for McCormick
We are thrilled that McCormick & Company’s first Net Zero Carbon manufacturing facility, located in Peterborough, is preparing for start-up!
The site incorporates a food factory, innovation centre, warehouse and offices and has been developed in line with the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC), Net Zero Building Framework to deliver net zero in both construction and operations.
Due to a number of design interventions including low carbon concrete and recycled construction materials, the project was able to achieve a 38% reduction in CO2e during construction – dropping the initial baseline estimate of 36,000 tCO2e to 22,201 tCO2e.
KAM provided cost management and employer’s agent services for client, CBRE UK, on the delivery of this project.
The project was the first of its kind for McCormick and was an exciting project KAM are proud to have been a part of.
