The 140,000 sq ft building, which is set to be completed in December 2021, will contain research, development and manufacturing facilities and will be constructed in two phases.

Phase one will focus on the base building works.

Phase two involves the fit out including building finishes and the specialist mechanical and electrical installations. In addition to this, the installation of a substantial process equipment package.

Once completed, VMIC will grow to become a vital component of the UK’s national scientific infrastructure.
