A complex multi-use development on the site of a former factory.
KAM supported a developer in delivering a complex multi-use development on the site of a former factory. The project presented significant challenges, including ground contamination and severe level changes, which required extensive remediation, alongside complex planning applications and conditions to negotiate.
Appointed as both project manager and cost manager, KAM drew on their extensive expertise in commercial and residential development to guide the scheme. The first phase delivered 100,000 sq ft of employment and retail space, with retail units completed to a tight programme to ensure they were fit for purpose for secured tenants.
The second phase focused on the creation of a 255-unit residential area, where KAM provided the infrastructure and services to the housing plot areas. The third phase will introduce 10,000 sq ft of flexible commercial space.
