DQ120 Distribution Centre

KAM were appointed by Savills as part of their team for their new distribution centre on an industrial zone in Didcot. This new-build project comprises a main office, extensive warehouse facilities, associated car parking and service areas, as well as hard and soft landscaping. The landscape design includes acoustic screening, attenuation and mitigation ponds, along with associated utilities and ground works.

The warehouse and office buildings were constructed to a high specification, incorporating warehouse glazing and curtain walling systems. Landscaping works to plots DQ120 and DQ190 included the creation of an amphitheatre, attenuation pond, and landscaped bund.

A tight budget meant that careful cost planning and control were imperative from the outset and throughout the design process to ensure the project remained within Savills’ budget.
