Project Manager, Cost Manager, Employer’s Agent and Tenant Monitoring of Base Build
Project Brief
Following completion of the original fit out in 2011, KAM led the delivery of three phases of further fit out which has increased the floor area to 1.7m sq ft. All phases were completed in the live building whilst it remained fully operational on a 24/7 basis.
The works consisted of installing 14m high multi-level mezzanines and pick-towers, with various building services including sprinklers. This was all coordinated with the automation installations which ran throughout the new floor area, meaning extensive planning around the design and programme.
Key Features
- Extensive automation including mini-load, sorters, Put-To-Light systems and conveyors
- A section of the mezzanine had to be constructed across an existing 80 x 38m sorter
- Phasing of work included handing floor levels back to JD Sports as the fit out works continued on the upper floors
