KAM were appointed to provide cost management and employer’s agent services on behalf of Wrenbridge and Buccleuch, supporting the project from early feasibility through to completion. Our involvement began at the outset, advising on cost planning across various design options to inform the development strategy before progressing to the technical design stage.
We led the procurement and tendering process, ensuring competitive pricing and achieving best value for the client, resulting in the successful appointment of Parkway Construction as the main contractor.
This high-quality industrial unit was constructed on land which previously sited a gas holder facility, which was demolished by the previous operator prior to site acquisition. Despite this, the project involved management of the required site investigations and clearance of detailed planning conditions prior to commencement of the works.
Delivered to an exceptional standard and on programme, the project also undertook a rigorous BREEAM New Construction assessment. It proudly became the first and highest-rated BREEAM New Construction scheme in the UK, achieving a perfect 100% score – a testament to the dedication and collaboration of the full project team.
