The complex construction of two neighbouring plots with separate tenants.
The development comprised two neighbouring plots within an existing logistics park, delivering a new terraced unit on Plot 3020B and a new distribution warehouse on Plot 3020C, both running simultaneously.
Plot 3020C consists of a single warehouse of approximately 190,000 sq ft, featuring an 18m haunch and 24,000 sq ft of office accommodation. Plot 3020B comprises two smaller warehouse units of around 40,000 sq ft each, with up to 10,000 sq ft of office space. Both developments achieved BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ ratings and had several site constraints due to the site rules of an active logistics park and port and park environmental management systems.
With separate tenants secured for Plot 3020B, KAM led the interface between all relevant parties, ensuring that base build enhancements and early access requirements were effectively coordinated and integrated into the construction programme.
During the works, the main contractor entered administration. KAM successfully led the project team through this challenging period, supporting the client in facilitating the prompt recommencement of works and minimising disruption to the overall project delivery.
